Wowww I can't imagine that it has been more than 1 year I have joining with one of foreign company which dealing with recruitment and staffing.
My mind comes to a year ago once one of their Recruitment Executive tried to approach me for their vacant position. I was quite surprised as she spoke English on the telephone (now I knew that all the recruitment process that they and we did were conducted in English). Then I had two times interviews for their recruitment process. One directly with my (finally) line manager who is a French lady and then another day with (different) Branch Manager together with the Director. I never thought that I will be one of their member, a recruiter, an Executive Recruiter or they call us, a Head Hunter.
A recruitment executive firm usually well known as a headhunter company. This such company is providing services to another third party (can be a company, institution or even individual). They provide a solution how to process an effective recruitment or staff (professional) palcement. This system is perfect for a (big) city which having a high labor requirement or even high labor turn over, such as Singapore or Hongkong?
To be honest the crucial reason for joining this company because I want to know what people did in such a headhunter Company. I always think, if you want to know something deeper then the best way to get its experience is jumping in directly to the scene(s). Later on you also need to know how to stop if you think, that's enough.
As every Human Resources practitioner believes that a headhunter company are our rival in the real recruitment battlefield and the Recruiter are the troops. Can you imagine if a head hunter will replace all the Human Resources practitioner, especially the one whose dealing with recruitment process? A company will no longer need them. Then the best way to know what they did that we don't is to become part of them and experience what they did.
to be continued....
